Cherry and walnut desk and chair set

As I finish my pieces of furniture they end up in our house until someone decides to purchase them. I recently built a piece made from cherry and walnut that I have been calling a utility table. I figure it could serve several purposes, a hall table, a sofa table or a desk. Like I said it is sitting in the house in our living room and my daughter has claimed it as her downstairs desk while she has been working on summer assignments for the upcoming school year. She’s been pulling the aspen chair I made awhile back from the office and using it. As they sat there together, I realized their designs complemented one another, if you ignored the fact they are made from different woods. At that point I had my next project, remaking the aspen chair out of cherry with walnut highlights. This is my third rendition of the chair as the first one I made out of walnut. This is the biggest advantage of using….and saving templates.
